

The questions from my peers at that time were just too overwhelming. I also remember taking a swim class and having to put on a swimsuit. I remember being on the track team in the fifth grade and being terrified of having to wear the uniforms because of what people may say. There was a lot of stuff that I would have liked to do but didn’t because I was scared of what people would say when they saw my skin. Growing up, psoriasis impacted the clothes I wanted to wear and my willingness to do certain activities - like go to the pool, learn how to swim, play sports - because I did not want to have to wear the uniforms.
